While I am not typically interested in what IBM is doing with “hardware” these days, the potential that this technology brings to the world is undeniable. Kudos to IBM. This is truly where SciFi and reality meet.
A) that's really cool, and B) that's really terrifying
at the same time.
There are tons of SciFi movies based on the idea that we design some nano-thing to attack a particular medical condition, and then the nano-thing gets out of hand and wipes out humans or all plant life, whatever. I'd imagine we're going to want to do reallllly good beta testing of this, cool as it is.
